Now welcoming entries for the 10th Annual NY Dog Film Festival™ which will premiere in New York City in October 2025, then travel across the USA and Canada throughout 2026.
For the 10th Annual NY Dog Film Festival there are two categories of films.
Submissions to the "Celebrate Dogs!" category can be from 1 to 20 minutes long (although films up to 30 minutes will be considered). Filmmakers from around the world are encouraged to submit any style of film or video - documentary, scripted or animated - with a canine theme. Films can have been made at any time and seen elsewhere.
Returning for a second year is the "Dog Chow Service Dog Salute (SDS)" category, inviting short films [5 to 10 minutes long] that illuminate how a specially trained PTSD service dog can positively impact the life of the veteran they serve. Two films will each win $1,000 and be included in the final program. Eligibility in the Service Dog Salute category is limited to legal residents of the 50 United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico. There is no submission fee for this category thanks to Purina Dog Chow - write Tracie at TheDogFilmFestival@gmail.com to get the waiver code.
